Donald D. Vanarelli, Esq. will be speaking at the “First Annual End Of Life Conference: Legal and Practical Issues in Advance Care Planning” presented by the New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education on Monday, Oct. 5, 2015, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the NJ Law Center in New Brunswick, NJ
This program, the first of its kind in New Jersey, is interdisciplinary in scope, bringing medical and legal experts together to discuss advance health care planning. Lawyers, in the best situation to provide clients with counselling and advice about advance care planning, will discuss the legal tools available in New Jersey to achieve clients’ advance health care planning goals, including Advance Medical Directives, Durable Powers of Attorney, Physician Orders for Life Sustaining Treatment, and Do Not Resuscitate Orders. After reviewing end of life issues in New Jersey, medical experts will discuss the use of the legal tools in real-life situations and advise lawyers on improving existing legal tools and creating new tools that will be more effective in accomplishing client goals in the face of medical challenges.
About Donald D. Vanarelli
Donald D. Vanarelli is a Certified Elder Law Attorney.by the National Elder Law Foundation, an ABA-certifying organization, Mr. Vanarelli is also an Accredited Veterans Attorney and an Accredited Professional Mediator. He has successfully litigated cases in New Jersey’s Supreme Court and in federal court. In 2015, Mr. Vanarelli was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the New Jersey State Bar Association, Elder and Disability Law Section.
