Congratulations to my colleague, Deirdre Wheatley-Liss, on being chosen as one of New Jersey’s 50 Best Women in Business by NJBIZ magazine. Here is a press release about the achievement. I know of at least three of Deirdre’s achievements: she has earned an LLM in taxation from NYU (wow), she has been board-certified as an Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation, approved by the American Bar Association (again, wow, as I am also certified as an Elder Law Attorney and I know that it is difficult to achieve, and that we are 2 of about 50 New Jersey attorneys who are Certified Elder Law Attorneys), and she is the creator of the You and Yours Blawg, one of the earliest legal blogs in New Jersey (a third wow, as I am a long-time reader of Deirdre’s blog and know it is terrific. Also, I don’t know anyone who has been blogging in the areas of Elder Law and Estate Planning longer than Deirdre.)
Deirdre and I, along with Professor Robert Diab, will be presenting at a New Jersey Institute of Continuing Education seminar entitled “Make A Will Come To Life” on March 28, 2009 at the Hyatt Regency in Morristown. Come out if you want to meet a true pioneer in legal blogging in our state.
Once again, congratulations, Deirdre, and keep working hard (especially on your blog, so I can continue reading it and continue learning more.)
