PowerPoint Slides of My Presentation on “Discharges From Nursing Facilities Due to Alleged Inability to Meet Residents’ Needs”

On November 20, 2019, I presented at the 2019 “The Medical Side of Elder Law” seminar given by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education at the Hilton/Doubletree Hotel in Fairfield, New Jersey.

I presented an overview of the rights of residents of nursing homes and other care facilities under federal and state laws in situations involving evictions and transfers from care facilities. I also discussed the situations in which patients can be discharged due to a facility’s claimed inability to meet a resident’s needs. (I wrote about the 2019 “The Medical Side of Elder Law” Seminar in a prior blog post.)
