A webinar on financial protection of older adults during the COVID pandemic was held on February 23, 2021. The webinar provided tips to avoid vaccine-related scams and information on resources available to older adults. A recording of the webinar is now available for on-demand viewing, and can be accessed on this blog below.
The webinar included a panel discussion from experts from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), and Health and Human Services (HHS). The FCC led the presentation with an overview of coronavirus-related phone scams targeting older adults. The CFPB shared resources to help older adults address the financial impact of the pandemic. HHS concluded the webinar with a discussion of the role of the aging services network.
