Vanarelli & Li, LLC is proud to announce that two professionals in the firm have been named to the 2013 Super Lawyer List in New Jersey. Partner Donald D. Vanarelli has been named to the 2013 Super Lawyer List in three practice areas: Elder Law, Estate Planning and Probate, and Estate and Trust Litigation. Associate Chen Li has been named to the 2013 Super Lawyer List as a “Rising Star” in two practice areas: Elder Law, and Estate Planning and Probate. Mr. Vanarelli was named to the Super Lawyer List in New Jersey in each of the past seven years, while Ms. Li was named to the Super Lawyer List as a “Rising Star” in the past two years.
Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process is multi-phased and includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations. Selections are made on an annual, state-by-state basis. Five percent of the total number of lawyers in each state are selected for inclusion in the Super Lawyers List.
Super Lawyers launched Rising Stars to recognize the top up-and-coming attorneys in each state. The selection process for Rising Stars is the same as the Super Lawyers selection process except that: (1) To be eligible for inclusion in Rising Stars, a candidate must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for ten years or less; and (2) Unlike candidates for Super Lawyers, candidates for Rising Stars do not go through step three in the selection process; that is, for Rising Stars, there is no peer evaluation by practice area. While up to five percent of the lawyers in the state are named to Super Lawyers, no more than 2.5 percent are named to the Rising Stars list.
Vanarelli & Li, LLC congratulates Mr. Vanarelli and Ms. Li on being named to the Super Lawyer List in New Jersey in 2013, and in prior years.
