When I started blogging in 2008, I reviewed many other law blogs in New Jersey and elsewhere in an effort to understand what blogging was all about, who else was blogging, and what subjects were covered by other blogging lawyers. I also tried to compile a list of the top 10 elder and special needs law blogs in New Jersey. I remember being surprised to discover how few lawyers in New Jersey were blogging on my topics of interest. At that time, I could find only 9 blogs in the entire State of New Jersey covering elder law and special needs issues. I prepared a blog post about the 9 elder and special needs blogs I discovered in 2008. Recently, I decided to take another look at the present status of elder and special needs law blogs in New Jersey. What a difference 5 years makes! In 2013, most New Jersey attorneys have websites, and most lawyer websites have blogs. However, when I looked closer, I found that many blogs contained no posts, or had posts which focused solely on activities of lawyers in the firm, or articles were posted very infrequently. By limiting the search to those blogs with at least one post in 2013 on a relevant legal issue, I identified 20 law blogs in New Jersey actively covering elder law and special needs issues. Those 20 law blogs follow, in no particular order:
